2006-12-15:

"Cherish Your Name!" That is the slogan of the 2007 year in Ukraine. It is connected with the charity action in which the witnesses and the participants will be the inhabitants of Ukraine.
The scale and the idea of this action are unprecedented for the country. It will take place as a charity concert tour of the band "Kobza" and their friends during whish they will visit all the regions and big cities and towns of Ukraine. The purpose of the action is to help all the families of Ukraine which lost their men – members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine who died doing their professional duties.
All means collected from the ticket selling will be transferred and used for the above mentioned purposes.
By the end of the action a Memory book will be published. This edition will honour the memory of all the lost men. In this book there will be place both for exploit and honour and for kind and faithful words.

The idea of this charity action belongs to Andrew Tolchanov – the producer of the band "Kobza". This idea was supported and supplemented by newly organized international police corporation of public security which has the observance of justice and legality as one of the main purposes. Together they gave a concert expressing the initiative to organize the charity concert tour "Cherish Your Name!". This initiative had an approval of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which took the tour under its patronage.

The charity action was supported by friends of the band "Kobza" – Byelorussian band "Syabry" and Georgian band "Orera" which will also take part in the charity concert tour.
The opening concert will take place on the 24 of December in the Palace of Culture and Art of SBU (Security Service of Ukraine).

2006-10-26:
"Kobza’s" concerting tour via Moscow region cities is being put off till 2007 owing to the circumstances over which the group has no control. The first concert will take place on March, 25.

2006-10-13:
А new face has appeared in the group’s stuff! Dmytro Lytvynets has taken an acoustic guitar, and a place at keyboards has transmitted to Olexandr Kazmirovych. The debut of the new "Kobza" musician took place on the "Кinoshock-2006" film festival. Now the group in a reinforced stuff is preparing for tour through the cities of Russia, together with the "Syabry" ensemble, which starts on October 29.
Please don’t worry! The Ukrainian tour will start very soon. Not enough time has left. Prepare your palms.

On September, 15 "Kobza" leaves for the jubilee "Kinoshock" that celebrates its 15-th anniversary. An international film festival, that had seen the Ukrainians on stage for the first time last year, has invited the group two years running! "Kinoshock", passing on the Black Sea coast of Caucasus by tradition, as always, will gather the brightest people of art of CIS, and we’ll have a grate portion of emotions and photos. On group’s returning Kiev, the shooting of a new music video will start. Please monitor the news on our site. This autumn there will be much of them!

2006-06-24:

DVD "Kobza Forever" production has reached the final stage. It will contain the group’s concert and also the musical movie "Kobza Forever" that was shown on Ukrainian TV channels. The movie’s frames from now on are accessible in the Picture Album section.

The Picture Album section has been filled with a new series of pictures. This time we present "Kobza" concert’s backstage images that photographer Svetlana Kononenko saw in black-and-white.

2006-05-30:
Music by "Коbza" heads for the North. On June, 2-3 in St.-Petersburg the Eastern Europe Music Convention ЕЕМС-2006, gathering representatives of the world musical industry is held. ZVUK Records, possessing the license on music by "Коbza", will be introduced by its managing director Denis Belkevich (also the executive producer of the group). Among other production, ZVUK Records will represent a solo album of “Kobza” soloist Dmytro Lytvynets, from the ZVUK jazz collection. Specially to this event you are capable to listen to some fragments from this album on the site www.zvuk.biz. Let's remind, that a solo jazz album "Day and Night " Dmytro has recorded as a multiinstrumentalist in the age of 18.

"Kobza" continues giving it's fans from all over the world songs from the album "Рідна мати моя". From now on we can listen one more Ukrainian folk song. As well as the rest of, this one is placed in Music section, and has a social-educational title - "Била мене мати" (My Mother Hit Me).

2006-05-15:

The musicians have returned from celebratory holidays and at once have initiated with rehearsals of a new program, which will form a new, modern album of "Kobza". According to the producers, it's absolutely not similar to a conventional musical aesthetics of collective, however it will reflect a nevertheless "Кobza's" path - to respond the time the group creates in. One can remind of the album " Рідна мати моя", recorded in 2005-2006, is ready for publishing. It is rumored that  a well-known Russian recording company excited its curiosity of the publishing licence. Nevertheless, its name will not be disclosed by ZVUK Records, representing "Kobza" till signing the publishing agreement.

And at once - two piles of photos in Photo album section! First of them - is fresh-baked, from the "Dynasty" studio, where rehearsals of group take place. The second pile carries us across 2005 - a year of group's 35-annivsary, year of a double album record, first music movie, first "Kobza" joint performance with a female dancing collective. A year of spotlights, cameras, Radio&TV open airs, applause, hard work, sun and rest, and certainly, a year of official site launch!

An article "Кobza Forever", published in the magazine "People's Deputy", has been added to the Interview section.

A new section - Interview - has appeared. The records of different printed and open-air interviews of "Kobza" musicians and producers will be located there. First goes the group's soloist Dmytro Lytvynets, recorded at FDR Radio Center.

2006-02-14:

Attention, premiere! On February 20, at 20:45 at the Ukrainian TV channel "Culture" a music movie "Кобза Forever" will be demonstrated. This day spectators of all Ukraine may see movie's first part. Repetition - on the following day, February 21, at 8:45 and 13:30.
The second part will be on air at "Culture" on March 3, at 21:05. Repetition - on the following day at 8:45 and 13:30.
One can remind, that "Kobza Forever", a joint project of ZVUK Records and US Production, has been possible to see on regional local Ukrainian TV  from the beginning of this month.
However this time we're about the whole-Ukrainian event.

2006-01-02:

On January, 1 there was finished a music movie "Kobza Forever", by US Production made to order of Group Кobza and ZVUK Records. A 50-minute movie contains two parts, six music videos from Kobza's concert DVD, frames of repetitions and studio activity of group, chronicles of last Moscow performances, backstage from shooting a video clip "Рідна мати моя", and also interviews of the musicians and producers of Kobza. Past and present days of the legendary group described by its "co-authors" in the movie, are decorated with salutations and memories from a music journalist Olexander Evtushenko and Vladimir Grishko, an Adviser of the President of Ukraine on Culture, so as the world-known Ukraine's tenor singer.
The music movie "Кobza Forever " is planned to be shown on TV in January, 2006.

2005-12-01:
On November, 30 "Кobza" took part in a concert-celebration of a legend of Georgian music - group "Оrera". Celebration of our old friends was held in Moscow, in the State Central Concert Hall "Russia". "Коbza" performed two songs from the new album - "Ой там, за лісочком" and "Ой ти, річенько". That evening "Orera" received congratulations from the Russian stars - Joseph Кobzon, Soso Pavliashvili, "Samotsvety" and many others. A TV-version of a concert would be seen on the Russian  РТР TV Channel. The demonstration date will be announced later.

2005-11-28:

Launch the Photoalbum section as far as possible! There have been added new photos from shooting a music concert DVD by "Kobza", made by the cool Ukrainian photographer Svetlana Коnonenko.

2005-11-26:

On November, 25 shooting of "Kobza" alive concert program successfully has passed. The video shot will become a part of a music movie "Коbza Forever", that's planned to be published on DVD in  2006. "Коbza" was playing on a concert site, specially equipped for the event. Repetitions on updating light, activity of six cameras and an operator's crane has been prolonged about eight hours. Director of photography was Dmitriy Yashenkov who had worked with the group before shooting "Рідна мати моя" music clip.

Our site was enriched by a new section – Music! From now on one can listen to several tracks from the new album of "Kobza" planned to be published in January 2006. Later the section will be expanded by adding old records of the group.

2005-10-24:
Music from the new album of "Kobza" can be heard all over the World. That is the result of the Radio Ukraine World Service and the group’s management joint work. The service ha s recorded three programs with a legendary Ukrainian group. The first called "Music Meetings" was created for the Ukrainian-speaking audience; the second called "My Ukraine" was recorded in Russian – for Eastern Europe and Asia. And the last one, "Music from Ukraine", has been recorded for the English-speaking countries. The 35-year history has been told by a frontman Dmytro Lytvynets and an executive producer Denis Belkevich.

2005-10-23:
Group’s frontman Dmytro Lytvynets was an open-air guest on the "Immanuel" Radio, Kiev. During an hour of live conversation it has been proved to be that "Kobza" prays before each performance. The full records of all radio programs "Kobza" participated in you will find on our site soon.

2005-10-08:

In the dead of night on October 8 the shooting of "Kobza" music video was finished. The song to be shot was the title one from the new album of "Kobza" called "Рідна мати моя" ("My Dear Mother"). That will be the first music video since 2003, when Ukraine saw a joint work of "Kobza" and "TNMK" – a well-known Ukrainian hip-hop team. Moreover, that will be the first solo "Kobza" video for the last 20 years! Producers have chosen a Georgian Levan Kitiya to be the clip’s director. Director of photography was Dmytro Yashenkov, one of the most talented young Ukrainian operators. The first night clip’s demonstration is planned to be simultaneously on a numerous of TV channels all over Ukraine, in November.

The same morning brought "Kobza’s" press-secretary Alexander Evtushenko and executive producer Denis Belkevich to an open-air program of the ERA Radio. The talk was about a new music video and the song itself was in air first. "The clip director was said not to loose a tender song during shooting and montage process. However, we consider him to cope with it" – said Denis Belkevich commenting upon "Kobza" video production.

2005-10-05:
The group in the persons of its founder George Garbar and frontman Dmytro Lytvynets was an open-air guest of the "Svoboda" Radio ("The Liberty"). The radio DJ was Alexander Evtushenko – "Kobza" press secretary. The point was the group’s 35-years anniversary and the new album’s release.

2005-09-12:
In group’s absence there has the mixing process been started at the "Dynasty" studio. One can recollect that "Kobza" spent there half a year recording new material. The new album is planned to be ready for publishing by the end of 2005. It is known that it will include several songs performed with other legendary groups and musicans.

2005-09-11:

The date of the official site launch. It happens that a new-born company has an own site from the date of its birth, but a legendary music group receives one by its 35-years anniversary. However it may be, we are proud of what we’ve done!

Also you can find out the true story of "Kobza" from its origin – producers and press-secretary Alexander Evtushenko, a music journalist of authority in Ukraine. Or you may sent a question concerning "Kobza" to its producers and receive a wide answer. Still, we’ve lack of time for receiving presents and accepting congratulations – that day "Kobza" arrives to the International Film Festival "Kinoshock". Being invited as the honored guests, "Kobza" will perform its program on the Opening and Closing ceremonies, and also a big solo concert is planned to be held.
